We are Christ-centered and faith-directed in all that we are.

Message from Mrs. Reinkemeyer

Second Grade is a fun and exciting year of creating memories of our faith journey with God. This year your child will complete two of the three Sacraments of Initiation: Reconciliation and Holy Communion. Also, this year your child will learn how to write in cursive. This is a very important skill for the future. In Reading, your child will continue to advance their reading skills and language skills. There will be some school-home projects. In Math, your child will continue to build their addition and subtraction fact foundation. We will occasionally have quizzes to monitor their fact tables. They will also learn how to add and subtract with and without regrouping (a.k.a. borrowing). This will be the first year your child will use a Student Assignment Notebook. I will assign the students homework each evening. This will be written by them into their notebook. I expect the parents to initial the planner each evening. I use this planner as communication from school-to-home when necessary. This needs to be checked every night by the parents. This notebook is provided to them by the school. I look forward to another year at St. George School.
