Catholic Education has a big influence in my life. I was raised in a strong, faith filled, Catholic family. I went to St. George School from First to 8th grade and had a great experience here so I wanted to come back to teach at St. George to teach young minds the way of the Lord. I think it's important that children know at an early age who Jesus is and why He's in our lives. I teach my students to be kind to everyone like Jesus would. Children absolutely love learning about Jesus, they love praying, they love learning about how He died and why He died. And to think I had a part in teaching that to them - it's a wonderful feeling!
Here at St. George my goal as a Preschool Teacher is to let my students know that we can do all things through Christ, to have a positive outlook on life, Jesus is in control and everything will be ok. My job is to make my students feel safe and it's very comforting to know that Jesus is in our hearts and Jesus will make us happy. I tell my students often, "Let's make Jesus happy today!" and they do, they put a smile on their face and start their day off great. I love being able to say these things and that's one of the many reasons I'm in a Catholic school. As the St. George Preschool Teacher, my promise to you is that my students will learn about Jesus on a daily basis, pray to Him, be taught the sign of the cross and know the difference between a crucifix and a cross.
