Message from Miss Kirk

I am looking forward to another great year as the fifth grade teacher at St. George School. Born and raised in Effingham, Illinois, I attended the College of St. Francis with a double major in Elementary Education and Social Work. I received my Masters in Administration from Eastern Illinois University.

My mission is to help pass on the Catholic faith that you have given your child and to then foster his/her education so that he/she becomes an independent learner and a life-long problem solver.

I have a love for animals and have two rescue dogs: Lady, a black and brown Pomeranian and Misty, a black and brown sheltie.

My email is saintgeorgefifthgrade@gmail.com. Please feel free to email me with any questions. Our classroom door is always open for you to see how the Fabulous Fifth Grade students work hard but yet enjoy the day.

Each week on Fridays a folder will be coming home with your child’s work or tests from that week plus a newsletter as to what will be taught the coming week.

I feel Blessed to be your child’s teacher and am so grateful that you will be a part of our learning.
